Skyhiker If you are looking for an out of the box kit this is not a good choice. Plenty of scratch building is required to make it presentable. This kit is very old and should not be on the market anymore. There is so much flash that some pieces need to be resculpted. Not recommended for beginners, the casual builder, advanced model makers or really anyone other than someone wanting practice rebuilding a kit.

Martin Oostrom You could buy it for the decals alone. Those are good.

Nick Not great, shape is very wrong, bad fitment everywhere and only basic decals. Definitely not for display once built but if you can get it for less than $5 AUD its ok as a waste of an hour.

Jeff Jeffery Built while on holiday in North Yorkshire, using only the paints supplied. This is a TERRIBLE kit. Stretched along its length, and a BIG gap between the wings and the fuselage. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

RGGM Very old moulds. Bad, raised details, large (0.5-1mm) gaps and differences on some fittings, thick wings, LOT of flash, empty landing gear bays (just a hole on the lower wing and fuselage, no walls), even some false details (like a mesh on the intake). And on top of that, the whole plane is elongated (noticeably).
Skyhiker Not an accurate representation of this plane. I had to do a lot of scratch building on the air intake to make it look like a P-51D. The mold is also ancient and worn out. But in the end with a lot of work it can make a good model.

Nils Steyaert by far the worst P-51 ive ever built.
i dont know why Revell rereleased this old thing!
how to build it?
step 1: take out the revell P-51D
step 2: throw it in the garbage
step 3: buy a newer P-51D, preferably Academy or Airfix.
