Finally got my hands on a set.
Have to admit, a bit of a pain to work with.
The pins that go into the back of the funnels is very small and you best be sure you're inserting the blind end (the open end facing out). I wasn't paying attention on the 1st one and got it wrong. It's fit was tight and I had to gently wrench it out with small needlenose pliers...🙄
Secondly, be careful with the 'thrust trail' piece when trying to thread it into the base 'blast' effect. The blast fringes are quite soft and it's easy to bend them inward. I found it best to have the base pin inserted into the blast first, then gently insert the long trail part while using a subtle twisting motion to avoid snagging the blast piece's fringes.
Lastly and most frustrating, after assembling the 6 I wanted, were the base pins fit. Some were somewhat snug (what you want so the funnels remain upright) others were not and will disconnect at a gentle breath. There are extras in the set, so I tried some more but eventually I had to use the needlenose pliers to gently squeeze the base to get some of these to stay on.
Kind of a cool effect (I'll post photos to the project album), but I may consider another solution later.
I'm hoping the effect set I got for my counterpart RX-93 impresses me more. 😉
