Why a new kit for this?

@Cliff7474 Why not? The current kit has some soft details, and an older configuration. You can also read about construction issues related to the main body - attaching the turret makes the upper body to bend. The 2000s kit is not up to current Tamiya's standard.

Just think there is a lot of other military vehicles they could have produced that they haven't made yet. Or even an older kit from the 70s 80s. The original is still fairly new in the hobby world. Also would love to see more 1/32 ww2 aircraft.
