Airfix ought to retire this model, as this is more like a toy and less like an accurate model, and has rather obvious inaccuracies because of how the toy like assembly apparently required adding plastic on the outside which shouldn't be there and has to be removed, as one expects a circular shape for the cross section of the rocket.
Also, it looks like the kit makers in the day, had in mind, adding 0.5 x 0.5 strip styrene for the reinforcement ribs around the rocket. It looks like, adding this strip styrene is fairly easy.

Hrm, this is kis imo overpriced and obviously so. I would recommend waiting for a new mold with better detailing if you care about details.
