Hiya mate. Just a heads up about that trailer. The joint for the two halves, is right down the middle of the side. In the kit, they give you plastic squares to aid the joining process. My advice would be to maybe use a long strip of plastic instead, or something similar? It's a dog to line up perfectly, and definitely filler is a must. You will also need to watch for gaps in both end pieces too. Once again, some filing and filling, is your only option. Mine became a side project, which will probably be making an appearance in the next 18 months?

Thanks Bozzer. I'm setting myself up for some heartache. The TOPAS trailer for my BP combo is essentially the same. And I haven't checked the AMT tanker yet… That one is supposed to be all Molotow?

If you are referring to the chrome tanker, from AMT, I have an excellent tip for you. Other than that, any AMT tanker is the same kit, so you basically Molotow everything. The chassis is very fiddly at first and joining the tank to the chassis was a pain, on the chrome version. You have to remove, just enough chrome, in the right place. For that, I taped them together and carefully scribed the outline with the tip of my knife. Once together, the rest of the bits go on very well.

Bozzer is always ready with those helpful hints. He chimed in with the info I was gonna ask somewhere else. Will be watching closely.😁.

Lol, you guys should know me well by now? If it's American, I probably own it. But I picked up the Esso Tanker dirt cheap, and I wanted to try something different? I was disappointed with the decals, because you have to paint the red square, which I thought was a cheap move on Italeri, but then my plan changed. I've got a lot of ideas for builds, so I tend to buy multiple kits. And obviously, like any of us, I'm always looking for a good deal? With the current climate becoming hard for people to make ends meet, I see a lot of bargains on a certain auction site. I'd love to have them all, but I don't own a warehouse, lol

Nearly forgot. Italeri do a normal trailer, We are Family, milk tanker? That might be more correct, for what you have in the picture? You have to be careful with the scale, because the AMT tanker would look like it's lower, at the back end? Obviously bigger wheels would help, but the Italeri tanker is widely available and it's pretty much what you want 😉

Bozzer, you are right. There is one tiny issue with that kit. My wife is a vegan and she'll never forgive me if I put that one in sight.
And the project picture is more for a general idea, not the end game.

I only need to sneak a box into the house, without any divorces. I found a cheap old Revell tanker trailer kit, which fits the goal a lot better! Now I need to find a new home for the Italeri fuel tanker…

Three options:
Mercedes-Benz Actros 1854 | Project by Mahoo76 (1:24)
Scania 143M Estron/Getron | Project by Mahoo76 (1:24)
Volvo FH16 | Project by Mahoo76 (1:24)
I'm leaning towards the Volvo, but I'm open for great suggestions!

Yes, it is already added to the project. Eerily similar to the cow tanker

It's the same kit mate. Revell just reboxed it. Personally, I like the plastic wheels that come with that kit. You can see what I've done with some of mine, on my latest pics of the hideout truck.

The only thing missing is the pedestrian guard rail. But that makes it times aware

The other thing is mate, that they didn't have them in the states, so I wouldn't worry. I personally like the landing gear on that kit. Much better than the Esso Tanker. I can't imagine what our American friends think of it?

Just like the Daf, no link in the timeline to the italeri kits. And I'm not messing with timelines.
No hints for where to leave the Esso tanker?

Hold your horses! What I meant was: which truck should I put in front of it? The Merc, the Volvo or the Scania? See a post or 10 earlier, just above the Revell kit.

Sorry mate, I digested that all wrong.
In that case, I'd say the Scania. It looks right.
