A mysterious build

 

 

 

Sanded the mold lines 

Drilled a hole fore a sturdier attachment of the mirrors 

Added a metal rod to the mirrors 

Dry fit 

Exhausts were solid. Used a bit of tubing 

Before an dafter 

Al bits skewered 

White primer over red 🙁 

Tub primered 

The Tamiya primer is a bit glossy when wet 

Matt when dry 

Matt black  

I'm having plans for the roof 

Tub in mattt black as well

And more bits 

Handpainted these colours. Added a satin varnish for a leathery look

Needs some sanding... 

Stripped as I sanded through the paint

Used Molotow marker for the first time. 

Alclad gloss black primer

2 spray sessions of 2 thin/medium coats of Alclad Aqua Gloss 

 

 

 

Rear window looks okay 

Front, the paint is asymmetric and peeled on the inside 

Sprayed another layer of aqua gloss last night. This is the result after a thorough polishing.

Rear lights 

Painted the ceiling black as well. It was multicoloured from all the layers. Nobody would have noticed, but just in case 

Fixed the wipers for right hand drive 

Masking the rear. I wasn’t happy with the diffuser

I added some last second chrome trim around the tips and the diffuser

Filling with some strip styrene to prevent sinkmarks in the putty and save on drying time.

Added some mesh to the openings

The cut out with mesh really improved the look!
