Yes I love my printer 😄 I've been able to make so many improvements with it.

You need a uv lamp of 405nm. A curing machine is not absolutely necessary.

in the pictures is possible lto see some lines. but those are certainly zoomed. how do they look to the naked eye and to the touch? smooth or not?

Hi spanjaard, resin printers leave a slight texture, not as much as fdm printers. You don't even really need a 405nm UV lamp. I use the sun to harden my prints.

The print isn't necessarily the best in the pictures, and the print orientation certainly wasn't the best choice either. I have to say it was the first steps with the printer back then. The layer height could also be improved. Now I have to say I get the parts without wanting to praise myself in such a way that you can only see them under a large magnifying glass and you can basically no longer feel them with your finger. Hope this helps.... 🙂

Thanks Ben and Thomas. About the UV lamp to cure, iam curious. Ben does not use it, I see. No problems at all? I think I have read something about the prints getting brittle if too much curing

They have a pre-curing when printing and you need a post curing after printing. Sun light is also possible, but it needs a longer time for this curing process.

I haven't had problems with brittleness. I normally leave them out in the sun 2-4 hours, turning them occasionally.

I have a combined device, but I also wash a lot by hand with a brush, because sometimes the result is more precise and more cleaner with small parts and narrow grooves.
@Michael: Project is on hold at the moment.

To clean parts, I use a paint bucket full of isopropyl alcohol and then after parts soak for a few minutes immersed in that, I move them into my laundry sink where I rinse them off, have a couple brushes, etc.
If it's cloudy, there's still UV light, just have to leave things out a little longer. It's not always sunny in Colorado either.

Great discussion, mates. My future 3D printer project is gradually gathering momentum heh heh.
