hi Gordon, thanks a lot, I am building this OOB (the only change was the cannon of Spitfire that is metal). I will do the markings that came with the kits, the Hurricane I am painting using only Revell aqua color (exatly the ones in the manual) and the spitfire I am using Tamiya, they have the same painting so this is one experiment to see the diferences in using bough, I will be uploading pics from the Hurricane soon.

Excellent build and paintjob ! I like the subtle weathering as well. What did you use for masking the yellow stripes at the leading edge ?
I use Tamiya tape, but it always turns out slightly " jagged " in 72nd .

Hi people! Thanks for the kind comments!, Hanno, I used exactly the Tamiya tape, in this scale you have to be very careful, I cutted the tape's edge to be sure there will be no glue or dust on the way but just a fresh and tight edge, and I paited using Tamiya acrylic diluted in 50/50 mix, very thin and light layers, drying off them so there's no floading paint running along the tape like a wash, after remove the tape, I sanded off a bit of the step with a 1500 grade sanding paper and buffed the area a bit, I was fortunate that the XF-3 is a very close match to the decal's rondel, in the hurricane I didn't checked this out and they doesn't match at all :-/
