Looks like it will be a base to start from, but I've never seen such a resin kit before... garagemold is even better then this... just found this report about someone tackling this kit: maquette72.free.fr/a..cadet/index_ao33.php

May the force be with you. That's gonna be a lot of work. Hanno is right, unicraft kits are just lumps of bubbly crusty resin! Made from crusty old blocks of soap i think? Nothing lines up or fits and you have to scratch build most every thing. The box should read... resin kit for insane modelers.... 🙂 GOOD LUCK!

This contraption looks like it came straight out of some old-school sci-fi. I like it 👍
I will definitely follow your brave journey into madness on this one. 🙂 I would be stumped. I already cursed upon finding a badly molded spot and 2 bubbles on my Eduard 262 Resin wheels 😄

The warning about "brittle resin" is REALLY encouraging .... not! Good luck with this one.

I've made the mistake of buying 3 or 4 very interesting subjects from unicraft. Such as the Boeing Bird of Prey, Lockheed Martin RQ-3 Darkstar, Rutan Proteus and a Blohm & Voss P.188.02 It's hard to describe the type of resin used but part brittle toffee with a dash of old crushed biscuits mixed together sounds about right. I think they will take the last fragments of my sanity to build them.

A model kit presenting the concept was first shown at the Paris Air Show at Le Bourget in 1965. The aircraft was driven by two ducted fans, with three blades per fan, mounted on short wings that were able to pivot between providing vertical and horizontal thrust.
Two prototypes were constructed, one making its first (tethered) flight in July 1968.

Powerplant: 1 × Allison T63 turboshaft, 236 kW (316 hp)

I'll try to make something from this heap of resin...
