Piss poor 3d print from Shapeways, was never impressed with their finishes. Wasn't ever worth what you paid for, definitely a reason they went bust. 

I'm not really that bothered by it, I'll gloss varnish it, and you'll hardly notice it at all on the finished x-wing.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Have spent today painting up my pilot "Jecto Rond" for my AMT Rogue Squadron X-Wing T-65c. Just a quick basic paint job, as I have a stinking cold, otherwise it he would be a lot better. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Looks like ass at the moment, but she'll come together.  

 

 

 

 

 

I think she will surprise me massively when I'm finished.

That's it for today, apparently I'm making three models at the same time again. This is looking good though.

Don't know what I'm doing as usual. Trying to make an old kit look more interesting. Starting to mess up the paint work with weathering. I don't know what colour ID band I'm using yet though. I have put the wings away somewhere safe, so safe, I have no idea where they are... 

 

 

 

 

Finally decided on Green ID band as you don't see many, and as a nod to Star Wars Rebels. Long way to go still, need to replace the weapons, spruce up the engines, add and beef up details on the wings... When I find them.
