From what I´ve seen that should be a great little kit... for a hopefully fun and non-problematic build 👍 Will definetly grab this kit myself in time!

Hey guys, you´re welcome for sure!
@Tom B. : Well, I wasn't entirely convinced of the kit, I have to say.
I have noted a rough summary in the album info if you are interested.

Honestly did not expect the shortcomings you listed from what I´ve seen of the parts yet, so thanks for the heads-up 👍

So good: details, paintwork, weathering. Again: looks like a 1/35 model.

In spite of the problems with the kit you've managed to get it to your usual exceptional standard.

A typical Nagorsnik-build. Very fine. I like the presentation too.

Unbelievable, another perfect model. But I have since figured out why you are building models in 1/72 scale.🤔 If you were building on 1/35 scale, you would need a warehouse to store your collection at the rate you are building models. So you make each model look like a 1/35 scale model. 😀 You're just being practical. 😉

Hey mates! thank you all for your kind comments!!

@Bohmann: Haha, you recognized it exactly 😂

@gorby, @Tom B: The assembly was not so problematic that it would cause very big problems, but only the reworking of the individual parts was a bit annoying. This has somewhat reduced the joy and expectation of a top current kit for me.
Maybe I caught a "Monday production";)
However, the end result looks good throughout.
Once again, thanks to all and for all your likes!

M109A7 Paladin Self- Propelled Howitzer
(Foeart No. 2002)

I like the design of the new generation M109 howitzer, so I chose this kit for a "quick project".
For the painting, I allowed myself some freedom and chose a somewhat "artistic" approach, however, I kept still one eye on original references.
I built the SPH directly from the box without any changes or additions.

At this point, I´d like to make a few remarks about the kit:

When the building is finished, it will be in a good position.

Nevertheless, I was a bit disappointed.

I was hoping for a "shake ́n bake" kit like from Tamiya, but my expectations were not quite met.
First of all, I would like to say that there is nothing to complain about in terms of the quality of the surface and details, an aluminum gun barrel with 3D print parts is included as an alternative and the small PE fret can be processed well.
All hatches can be built open, even if there is no interior... a feast for all scratch built professionals😄

Now the less fortunate part:
-I keep noticing inaccuracies in the fit of the parts, which made minor adjustments necessary to make them fit together.
-The parts should also be carefully inspected for burrs. At this point there was also a lot to neaten.
-The diameter of the 3D printed parts for the aluminum gun barrel is too small and needs to be expanded.
-To build the track section for painting removable is possible, but demanding.
-There are missing components that are present on the corresponding originals.
-There are missing components that are marked in the instructions, but not present on the sprues too.
-Visible ejector marks

Decal versions:
The manual names one unit stationed in Korea and two unknown units.
According to my research, I came across following:
All decal variants are located and documented on training grounds in Bavaria and Poland.
