That´s very much up my alley! The idea of the trailer is quite cool especially with the addon stowage elements present... Looking forward to further progress on this project 👍
Again, I might take some of these elements as inspiration for my Flakpanther 5,5cm project currently "materializing" in stash 🙂
Thanks mates and a warm welcome!
@Tom: The trailer wasn't planned at the beginning, but using it was a good decision... and a good way to reduce accumulated stuff
Take as much inspiration as you can 😉... because there can be no greater praise for a modeler´s work 😁
Hopefully I'll get to see your Fla.Pa. soon, I expect great things from you as well.
If you ask me, "what if" projects are always a quite comfortable "feel good" thing 😁😁
Remarkable work as always.
It would be good to have a larger photo of the trailer.
I agree with the mates, remarkable. And I add my vote for bigger pics to drool over 👍
Cheers mates 🫡
More pics from the trailer are unfortunately only available when the project is finished.... currently that's all what´s available from the building stage in terms of image material 😉
Well done for sticking with it. Even with the difficulties you encountered it still looks fantastic. Most of us can only dream of achieving your standard.
Thanks so much gorby! 😁
This time it was really a disaster.
If this attempt had not worked, it would have flown into the trash...
I´m only partially happy with it, because in the end I was just trying to get the job done.... nevertheless, I´ve gained a few new experiences 👍
Great result as usual 👍 I really like the composition with the figures atop that ruin!
Simon, thanks for sharing the reality, that one can't presume that the Muse will always be with you. Despite the shaky start, this project has evolved into something unique and special. Your determination has paid dividends!
I enjoy the pictures and every time I look at them I see more details. Also, the models come out very well because of the simple looking yet highly detailed base.
And every time I look at those models of yours I am on the wrong track. 😀 No, it is not 1/35 scale but 1/72..
Hi mates and thanks for all your comments!
@Tom: I wanted to keep the base rather simple and not spend too much effort on it.
I thought it might be a good idea to add some movement and drama to the figure ensemble... And to reduce my stash a bit again;)
@Bohrmann: Thank you very much for your words of praise, they are always happy to read, but I have to say that the finish line is still a long way off... 😉
@Bruce Huxtable: Thank you, I think there is no shame talking about the fact that a project or idea was doomed to failure, everyone has something to hang on to once 🙃
It is important to draw the right results from it, not to despair of it and to keep going! 😁😁
Looks like an excellent build to my eye. Truly outstanding in this scale. So much for the "relaxing hobby"…😉
Always outstanding what you get out of the scale. Model building of the highest quality.👍👍👍👍👍
Great result Simon.
Some projects are a real pain from start to finish but you made it, congrats!
Welcome and thank you so much Pietro De Angelis, Alec K, Shar Dipree and Robin!!
Album info
Flakpanzer on E-75 Standardpanzer chassis. 5,5cm Zwillingsflak- Gerät 58, Rheinmetall turret.
For this project i´ve used Modelcollect´s UA72019 kit.
This kit is based on their pre- built collection series, which means that all the tools and side skirts and other details that are separate on the other kits series are shown molded on.
That's why the first thing I did was to remove all these elements.
Gun barrels and PE´s of the kit were missing, which is why I used new gun barrels from Aber (72L-61) and the small PE set from Hauler (HLH72132).
I used two sets of the original link and length tracks to create a convincing track sag.
A little note about the suspension: it was an absolute nightmare to assemble. ?
Furthermore, I made a few other small modifications and detailing.
For the most part, the vehicle is largely unchanged.
The figurines (resin cast) are offered by GeBo Figuren 72039.
Posture of the figures corresponded very well to my idea, but I made a few changes to them.
The most heavily modified was the sleeping comrade at the back of the wall.
On the whole, the GeBo miniatures have a good cast and detail quality and harmonious proportions.
The jerry cans are from the 1/72 Bronco set (GB7020).
