Thanks for watching Robin, you're welcome!
Currently there is only building time, because i have renovation work at home, i had to vacate my workplace.
Painting starts probably in two weeks😔

It's good time to slow down though, sometimes this is when inspiration flashes. As always, I will follow your creation and show them to people who loves scale models around me over here.

Welcome aboard, friends!
The building phase is complete, first pictures will follow in the evening😀

Nice building on this one 👍 The paintjob will certainly be interesting to watch coming along

Nice model with a lot of bling. I only think that the boxes and the tarp are not convincing in this location.
21 July 2022, 20:47

Thanks Michael!
I know what you mean, these are a consideration.
I want add a bit of individuality to the model, but i've to think about it again.
They are not fixed yet...;)
22 July 2022, 02:50

wow, this build looks incredible. I have this kit too, but I don't know what mine will look like?
25 July 2022, 19:11

Thanks mate!
I´m sure, yours will be great too 😁
Hope to see it soon ......

Top paint fading. Very convincing. I am sure that Mr. Cabrero is very honored by your build. The additional fuel tank adds a nice splash of color. I am keen on the display.
Did you use the hairspray-technique? With hairspray or any of the fancy new stuff? Did you paint the drive train after full assembly? I am usually too scared to do that as I am afraid I will mess everything up.

Already looks better than many 1:35 models, even before washes...
You probably used chipping fluid, right?
11 August 2022, 09:06

Thanks for your great feedback and for your compliments, folks!
@Michael and Marius: Yes, i`ve used AK´s Heavy chipping and worn effects fluid.
Works very well.
To find the right measure on this scale is sometimes a bit difficult to achieve...
I built the tracks according to the instructions using the dummy.
Then I put the wheels on without gluing them together and glued the tracks ready.
Then I took the track segment off again to paint them.
@Chan: We`re all artist here 😁
I took a year and only did some theory in painting, the use of colors, on vehicles, figures, real and fantasy, comopsitions...
And you will also encounter a lot of our hobby during an art study.
11 August 2022, 15:43

Haha, good point! 😀Your model looks stunning, Simon! An art study itself.

Fantastic work man, great details, realistic weathering and overall very good integration in the diorama!
But I think your tank needs air support, I will be sending my Arab Migs your way...
16 August 2022, 19:36

Thank you for your comment and feedback Marius!
Your air support is of course welcome 😁
16 August 2022, 19:50

Great result 👍 Apart from the tank, those Paracel figures look really nice, also! How is the quality of those?
16 August 2022, 20:08

Thanks Pepe and Tom!!
@Tom: These were a real joy! -If you can say that about figures 🤣
Yes, really, super quality.
Actually, these represent Vietnamese and they even have the corresponding facial features.
I tried to change that a bit by the painting.- Moustaches 🤣
16 August 2022, 20:27

So you already answered my question concerning the figures befor I even asked 😉. You successfully egyptianized them Vietnamese, I'd say.
Beautiful vignette.
16 August 2022, 22:05

A true masterpiece! Could you please describe your figure painting technique?
17 August 2022, 05:44

👀 This came out great! Very good work, Simon 👍
Beauitful paintjob and weathering.
17 August 2022, 09:22

Excellent result 👍🏻 I thought it was a 1:35 scale model when I first saw your pictures.
30 August 2022, 03:44

I'm amazed at how much detail you are able to apply to these small scale builds. Fabulous! 👍
30 August 2022, 04:50

I just got an idea, why not use Egyptian flag for the plaque background color, like white red and black, yours already very similar to it.
30 August 2022, 16:47

You're right again.
It often takes me longer to come up with a design, than the amount of work until it is printed out and glued on.
And yet you tell me things that are actually quite logical, but I just didn't think of it.
The next time I have to think too long, i will ask you immediately 😁
