Thanks Dave, Snake. I used a simple 555 circuit to drive the motors with variable PWM; nice to get the props spinning at just the right speed. Circuit details are on my project page: leap.tardate.com/kra..ishig3m/g3m3model23/

Glad you used a lower speed. Some of these DC motors can really fly at 10K+ RPM and we know that's far from scale. 2,500 RPM is probably a typical propeller speed for a piston engine plane.
