It takes alot of work to get them to fit. You can make it happen...this is my 3rd one and the 1st that i got to fit without trimming and bondo- pic 21. Dryfit, align, dryfit, align, then assemble multiple parts at once to maintain alignment - pic 31.

?, I have the two bobs f-5e blue/grey saints on 1/32 waiting for a decent kit... 🙂 , kitty hawk overall better than the older Hasegawa I think?

Overall, yes a better kit. They did some cool improvements and the detail is reallt stellar in alot of places (just shallow). Having the Hasegawa kit though makes a great kit combo. It has both seat versions available, the aoa probe, the in air refueling probe if you do an F version, and a deeper cockpit tub to name the major ones.

My Afghan camo adversary aircraft, affectionately known to my wife as the chocolate covered banana, is complete! The finishing touches were the fuel drain tank, fire extinguisher, and the oxygen hose hanging outside the cockpit. With a sunny day here in Cinci I grabbed some shots in natural light. Enjoy the show guys!

Great work, nice sharp camo with some careful fading, looks very nice, that sidewinder front part is one of the best paintings / colors that I've seen, if it's just the real AIM. Is that just one metallic color? Looks somewhat like burnt steel?

Thanks Mark 🙂 it's 1 parts olive drab and 3 part beige metallic. Edit- I'm using MCW acrylic lacquer so different brands might need a different ratio. My attempt was to get that light olive drab kinda look that the seeker head seems to have.
