A sample of the heavy mold line post 1989, when Revell "updated" the molds to reflect the SLEP of 1983. 

Port forward hangar bay door insert glued & faired in. Kit still needs some sanding & putty but the main hull is done for the most part. 

Port aft insert glued in. One of the sponsons that was removed during the refit (but Revell left on) was removed. 

Starboard forward hangar bay door insert glued in. 

Starboard aft hangar bay doors/hull side glued in. This was a fairly large piece. The open deck sponson near the stern drilled out (the kit railing removed for later PE). 

Main stern pieces glued in after modification. Still need to drill open the hatchways leading to the open decks on the sides and modify the Mech Shop compartment.
