annie shikinamiCaptGPF thanks! i have done the meng kit a number of times actually. i've got a few posted here, and im actually working on another pair of them right now! i really like both kits, tho i think the meng one is a little bit better.

i jumped on this kit as soon as hasegawa announced it and bought TWO cos that giant ass mace on the tails is just too damn cool.
this kit (and the 102 super hornet i did alongside it) was a bit of a slog to get thru tho cos i had to move to a new place towards the end of working on it. it was the first thing i started working on once i got settled back in and tbh i just wanted to get it off my bench so i got lazy in some spots and also didn't do any additional weathering with oils or anything. looking at the pics now tho it still came out pretty good. glad i got another of this kit tho so i can give it another shot.
decals came from the kit of course and are mostly pretty good tho i think the grey for the stenciling is maybe a little too light.
i wanted to do a super hornet with AIM-9s on stations 2&10 since that's approved for the USN now, and then just ended up going nuts with the AMRAAMS too. it's too many missles. it's too many and i love it.
