Cut and sanded all the little stuff 

Sniffing some glue

This turned out nice

Experiment 156. Pink primer over grey primer in an attempt to get a two tone yellow basecoat

Using krystal klear to create a lens over the dials

Creating a bulbous rear light 

Added all the bits 

Handpainted the rubber parts 

Polished! 

Lookin’ good! Nearly there 

DISASTER! I masked the black to paint the silver. After a minute or five I remove the masking tape and took the clear with it. Even after >40 hours of curing 

Stripped the chassis 

As it turns out, Tamiya paint stripper also strips glue 

Repainted 

Second attempt is also nice 

Polished the main body 

Started assembly! The dash look nice in the cab 

Engine is in! 

Rear suspension glued (again) 

Bonnet is not glued, it is kept in place purely by its shape 

Headlights gave me fits 

Fenders and spare wheel glued in place 

All these square angles are helped by nothing. Hardly any connection points 

Time to squeeze! 

As it turns out, you need to glue de van to the chassis before you glue the spare wheel assembly
