Yesterday I´ve painted the external stores and engine exhausts followed by a first weathering.

Welcome Jos!
Waiting for putty to dry slowed down the progress last week. Today I´ve done some little paint jobs. The wheels got some more colour as well as the exhausts. Pylons and droptanks got a matt varnish and the elevons are painted. Bad weather outside causes bad pictures. Hope you can get an imagination anyway.

I've had my eye on this kit for a while. I'll be interested to see how you get on.

It´s a kit with highs and lows mostly in the instruction. Some filling and sanding is needed but altogether the parts went together without any major fitting issues. Only one thing happened recently when glueing the front canopy: the fit is so tight that some glue went in the space between the glas and anti glare shield port and starboard...

Micro Krystal Klear is made for transparent parts and dries clear. It isn't perfect, but it helps!

Thanks for the hint John. I thought about using white glue first but opted for plastic glue instead. Didn´t expect glue running under the glas parts.
Anyway, it is as it is now.

Main paint job is done. It dosen´t really turn out in the pictures but the mottling is stronger in real.

Today I´ve applied filters and oils. I used acrylic filters so no problem with working with oils immediately afterwards.

Matt varnish applied! Now everything start to come together. There´s only one minor paintjob left in the wheelbays of the outriggers.
