Is this a rehash of a rehash? They look to have merely mated the early turret where it belongs on the early hull.
Mina RoNot really, the last Wittman Takom kit was the late model with a special figure of him. Now we have the earrly and again with a new modeled figure. The good thing is all the goodies you get in these kits, the figure, metal barrels, options plus the MUCH easier track assembly and not the older nightmare link and length tracks from dragon and others. All at a far cheaper price than the competition. These kits often are $20 or more dollars cheaper than the others. I dunno about you but I love takom and everything they give us for the price. Just got their new Panther kit with a metal barrel for $25!!! Beats the ridiclous price of $60 or more from other sources.

TrezThe early has been done with the silly late turret. The new figure - yeh, whatever. We are talking about the tank. There are NO NEW TOOL just a reshuffle of some sprues - in other words - a rehash
60 bucks is normally for an interior kit and full workable tracks - I have a few Takom kits - they are NOT on the same level as RFM.
As for Dragon they are somewhat overstated and overpriced

TrezAnd the figure is just a blown up 1/48 scale Suyata/Takom figure - in fact it looks like the whole kit is just an up scaled version minus the interior. Yep. A weak rehash
The Panthers you refer to are the "Blitz" kit - very basic kit with metal barrel - link and length. I much prefer the oldish Tamiya Panthers. Much cheaper and with a little care build very well
The Dragon Tiger I - ' Operation Ochsenkopf' is going for £45
