With the AGM-65's how did you get the join between the main part and back part of the missile parallel and perfectly lined up?

If I remember it right I drilled the parts out so that there was just a edge of about 0,5mm thickness. I then tried to sand it in an right angle as possible and glued them together. Maybe I´ve used the missile rail as a guidance when glueing.
In the aftermath the Reskit Mavericks would have been the better choice. It is the weakest point on Eduard´s Brassin parts that in 1/48 scale some of them are divided like the Mavericks. Joining some Mk82s offered the same problem and didn´t work properly. And their GBU-12 in 1/48 are just horrible to free them from the runner.

I painted them after joining them. I left the seeker head glass part seperate and drilled a hole there for a toothstick.

Gidge, in pic #4, #5 and #21 you can get a hint of what I´ve done assembling and painting the Mavericks.
