My version of the F-15i Ra'am!
A build where I wanted to challenge myself, but I think I may have taken on to much!
This have been my shelf queen on and off for 6 months. This thing fought me all the way to the end, many error from my side and also some poor engineering on the kit.
I have filled, sanded and scribed so many things! Many other lessons learned too.
As a friend pointed out - the green is a bit darker than it should be. I reapplied my mask set and tried to lighten it, but well disaster hit... All masks on the light tan areas left all its glue / adhesion on the surface.... It could not be removed, so had to strip all the tan paint and go back to primer....
Lost all motivation for the project and stuffed it back on the shelf of doom.
After a good month I finally decided to drag the bird across the finish line.
As Not entirely happy about the end result, there are a few things that are annoying me. Mostly that some of the stencils have a bit of silvering from some angles(tried everything). For some reason the sheet for stencils were a different make than the other decals (that went down perfect).
However I am ready to move on to a new project! Still wanted to show my build and share with the rest of you.
Also my first go at at base - really liked how that one turned out, not sure why I was so scared to build one myself. It was great fun!
I mainly use Instagram for my models, so there is a bit more info and updates there. However I will update my projects here from time to time!
