So I kind of did a marathon on this kit on sunday and worked kind of worked from dawn to almost midnight on it.
I am really happy how the metal surfaces turned out, the engines as well. Also GWH offered a nice kit here, details are great.
One thing that is a bit annoying is incorrect painting guide. There are more surfaces around the engines that are supposed to be in a metal finish which are not pointed out in the guide.
As my ISP had problems I had no Internet, which also was the reason I powered through this build. On the downside I could not check up references.
Currently thinking if I can fix these parts, probably yes.
One thing you cannot see on the pictures is a problem I had with the engine nozzles. They didn't fit so I had to leave the turbine blades off and sand a bit of the nozzles. It looks so bad/empty from behind. 🙁
I will just not show it in the glamour shots once I am done 😄
Next course will be decals.

I ordered the decals on ebay from a seller in China. Not sure if it was the decal set from the Hasegawa kit but I think not. I could not see any copyright remark printed, so the probably printed it themselves.
It is possible to recreate other aircraft from AC6 as well, like an F-16 Windhover, Republic of Emmeria Air Force AWACS or the Hornet "Melissa" one of the character's husband flew and many more.
For this project I am using most decals from the extra sheet I ordered but also some of the original kit.
Besides the one for AC6 I also ordered some decals Yellow Squadrion (Ace Combat 4) and Mihaly's Su-30SM from Ace Combat 7. Sadly I could not find any AC7 "Trigger" decals yet, those I will get them printed myself.
So more Ace Combat stuff to come (hopefully rather soon).

Decals applied and sanded, because they are quite thick. I hope that worked out. Will upload pictures once the next clear coats have been applied.

Robin (WhiteGlint)Alright. here the final pictures. I finished it some time ago but didn't manage to take final pictures yet. Still not happy with the lighting setup but here we go.
It's finished, Talisman's F-15E from Ace Combat 6. I am really happy to have done this, AC6 is still one of my favourites and it deserves more love.
Well, I love the entire franchise but still...

Robin (WhiteGlint)Thank you Alexander. There is more Ace Combat to come in the future. Not sure in which order and when, but I want to build more. The Mimic Squadron Berkut will return to the bench as soon I have the decals for it.
I realized the pictures are quite bad an I will shoot a few more, hopefully better ones. It was hard to photograph the dark aircraft with these bright backgrounds.
