Red Bull RB16B WIP Pictures

Poor quality of the kit tires, so I decided to make some new ones by myself. 

 

New 3d printed tires with detailed side walls and better tread. 

 

 

 

 

 

Start with cleaning of all parts, sanding and drilling of holes… 

 

Dryfit of front wing and front suspension. 

Maybe some additional work on the rear suspensions for a straight track setting. 

Repair of minor defects on the badgeboard elements. First corrected the misprints, then reattached the broken elements. 

 

 

Assembly of the rear wing. Attaching the PE parts, as these are also painted. 

Another small dry assembly. Almost all parts are now deburred and ready for a primer. 

Full assembly of the rear wing. 

 

Tried to create some used look of the Intermediates tires like after the race. 

 

 

 

Finished rear wing, ready for primer. 

 

3D printed update parts for the backside of the steering wheel for more realism. 

 

 

 

 

Installation successful. 

Opened the rear end of the engine cover and thinned the chassis to get more realistic sheet metal feeling. 

 

 

Maybe I will extend the exhaust pipe and lead inside.

So the new exhaust systems are already printed, basically it doesn't matter which version, but I prefer the curved version.

The pipe goes through too and is a proper depth now. 

 

41 new holes added to show the fixings better and to be able to attach antennas later. 

 

The opening of the upper arms of the rear suspension is widened to make the case appear more realistic. It all seems to fit very well…
