Lübeck

Old garage kit. Seams and burst needed to be fixed. 

Some painting and roughening of the surface before gluing the engines in place. 

Engines glued with 3min epoxy glue. 

More black primer 

Main colors painted. Again Compass Ghost Grey. 

Masking dome-shaped FTL antennas with liquid mask and silly putty. Liquid mask by Molotow was applied with a marker. 

Mask removed. 

Tried to make glowing engine exhausts. 

More details painted. 

I got confused and added panel lines before decals. 

My attempt to get the Goldenbaum crest in the stand washed with gold enamel failed...  

After repainting and varnish layer I tried golden wash again. I didn't bought any new but wanted to use what I already have: acrylic Vallejo 77.725 Gold and enamel AK472 Xtreme Metal Gold. I thought AK-gold could be thinned with white spirit, but I was wrong. Finally I thinned Vallejo-gold with Vallejo-thinner and cleaned overflows with cotton swab moistured with flow improver. 

Self-cut masks. 

Black dots for "B" and "000". 

Masks were not perfect... 

Lübeck is ready!
