I think this kit is masterpiece of Revell. I was amazed this kit's very nice detail and sharpen mould.
Thanks for your praise.

Great work. Imho, The top canvas would look great with a bit weathering work 👍

I think you are so right when you write, that this is a master peice of Revell. I love this kit a lot. I think everything is right on the kit. The details, the proportions and the parts for opened and closed top. I like the possibilities with the windows. It fits pretty good. The only thing I don't like are those wheel houses. There I'd wish, they had done it like the Tamiya Beetle: open wheel houses and perfekt side walls underneath.

I know tamiya beetle is 1st Gen. and Revell's beetle is Super Beetle(1.5 Gen.)
But I don't know if the wheelhouse sidewall designs of really these two models are different.

That, what Revell put into the box is still the body of 1968-1971. If it would be the Super Beetle, it should have the McPherson front axle (as from 1972) and the curved windshield (as from 1973).
The boxart promised the 1302 (1971-1972) what would have been awesome to have as a kit.

You're welcome. The name "Superbeetle" was only used in the US as far as I know. In Germany it was the simply "03er".
I had one. And it was amazingly different, when I got out of my1968 into the 03. The space in front of you was awesome. It felt much larger then the 1302 or older Beetles. The new dashboard was also great. I loved it.
