Thanks for the kind words guys. I just finished this guy last night and took some photos in the light box. Not good photos, mind you. I'm a modeler not a photographer.
This build took forever. Well, the build was quick as Gunpla tend to be, but the paint job took far too long. I did an experiment to see if painting section by section to completion would be better (more fun?) than just painting the whole thing in one fell swoop. So I panted a leg, then another leg, then an arm, etc.
The experiment has concluded and the results are in - NO! Don't do that again!
Not only was it de-motivating for me, but I improved my skills and changed some materials (switched to MLT, tried a different acrylic varnish, etc.) which I think gives the model an overall uneven look aside from the asymmetrical paint. I'm especially mad at the acrylic varnish from Mig because it tended to peel off. Next time I'll use Aquagloss even though it has the scary "Clean your Airbrush Fast or Else!" warning on the side.
I'm happy this one's finished, but I'm not ecstatic with the result.

Thanks Kim. I did some chipping, but I think it's time to move on to another project. I was getting burnt out on this one. But who knows, maybe I'll come back to it and add some grime one of these days.

I agree that it still came out fine, and you're right about coming back later to weather it if you want to.
