Grat Idea to show it like that. Waterscape ist great. Personally I think the white spray is to "snakelike".Maybe you can smoothen it a littel bit?

I like it! Nice work! I see the snake Norberts talking about but it is possible for that formation. The water colour could use some deviation to beak up the solid colour aspect. I think this is the 1st dio I've seen you do! Keep it up it looks good!

Norbert, i wanted some white crests. The vallejo water is impossible to tint, as it is white when wet... so it was a best guess, and too white. Some added webbed white could do the trick, let me think about it
Tim, there was a precolouring in green and blue. Unfortunately the holes in the isolation foam needed some extra layers of pacific gel. That led to a darker blue. I added some green wash, i took some extra pictures in the hope to show you. There is still some shades of blue, just not very visible on the iPhone pictures.

Never seen this idea in real! Brilliant!

Very nice build of this venerable set of sprues. I have to say I'm not so much convinced by the mounting of the plane to the dio, but the torpedo is brilliant! Respect for your perseverance while completing the dio, mate! 👍

Thanks a lot everybody. I agree with Łukasz and Norbert that it could have been better. But I'm quite happy with my second water-dio.
I like to go against the grain, just putting the torp on the plane and display her as such didn't appeal to me. So I went with this crazy idea. This time it worked reasonably well.😎

I suppose the trajectory of the torpedo was carefully calculated too? The mounting of the plane itself left me Devastated! Sorry Marty, had to get that in before Tim found it!

I have the eye of a carpenter, so I don't need to calculate and can just work on sight alone. There is one poor bloke out there looking for his eye though (this is just begging for a reply!).
In hindsight I could have used the torpedo recess on the plane for a cleaner mounting with a rod or something.
