Great paint scheme! Your own idea? Don't remember seeing such a scheme on a "Orlyonok"

Thanks, Alexander! This scheme is no fantasy, it is used on the Orlyonok which is displayed in Moscow's museum of Russian Navy - [img1]
Also, some photos of nearly similar scheme in action can be found - [img2]

Fantastic job! I've always been fascinated with this beast, so it's good to see a model of it.

Splendid work, and really nice result. As asked before, did you just build it OOB, or did you do some conversions too?

Thanks everyone for your attention! Bart, sorry to miss you question earlier - it was a pretty fast OOB, no additions except the self-aghesive foil on the props. The whole work finished in about four days.

Great! Such decent and well -and not over-done surfaces- very convincing!

Sorry, just too subtle Lukasz. I meant the technology has been around since the Soviets scared the hell out of the US Military, when they were first spotted by their satellites, in the 70's (?) ... but they never had a profitable commercial usage. So, ekranoplanes "never took off"!

@JW: no offence taken, just word-playing😉
But I think we all agree it looks magnificent, both in Dima's gallery and in flight 👍

Putting the same scale Junkers Ju52/3m next to it really emphasizes the size of the beast! Great model! 👍
