Album info

While studying pictures from her sisters "Australia" and "New Zealand" I found a lot of square windows along the ship sides. To create them I cut 0,13mm Styrene into squares of 2x2 mm and glued them into position. After that I attached the railings. Despite using generic railings they notedly fitted very very well. Only on the port bow they it is about 1mm shorter than on starboard. On the stern it is symmetrically and I will close the small gap by thin wire.
Next step were the funnel caps. These are thing were I just cannot deal with the provided PE parts doesn´t matter from which manufacturer. But because this is such a distinctive detail I thought how to create it. The solution is a 0,1mm thin wire I once bought for my 350 scale sailing ships. I bent a piece of wire around a ball-pen which gave it the perfect curved shape. Then I cut small curves in he desired length and glued them ontop the funnel. A straight string was glued longitudinal and then softly bent down and fixed with superglue.
