SkyhikerA very nice gift. Well done. I wouldn't mind having one myself. I'm a bit surprised that Airfix has such massively out of scale recessed panel lines. If you do one for yourself I would fix that issue.

@Skyhiker that's not something I have the skillset for. Airfix has overemphasized panels lines on most of their 1/72 kits, that's just their "style" I guess. I don't mind it. Maybe the Italeri kit has more accurate sized lines in this scale, but it's also a much older kit so probably has its own issues. I have never and will never claim to be an expert on accuracy.

The 1/72 Airfix C-47 I built for my uncle for Christmas. His dad jumped from one of these during Operation Market-Garden. They were very close until his dad passed several years ago, so I thought this would be a nice gift he could remember his dad by. I kept it simple since it's meant to represent their relationship, not be a highly accurate representation of the actual plane. A full build video is available here: Youtube Video
