luckily it was only with PVA gue 

Test fitting on the stand. This will not be the final position - the rod still needs to be bent.  

 

 

I neglected to take the placement of the fuel tank into account when drilling my mounting hole, and now they clash. i should be able to bend the rod in such a way that it all fits tho.
