RVR-01 Gauntlet (Thunder Force V)

Started building this garage kit I bought years ago on yahoo auctions Japan as a little side project. Was actually pretty fun, although the constant filling, sanding, re-filling, re-sanding and re-filling of the bubbles in this cast, got a bit annoying. At some point I just gave up and hope that paint will hide most of it.

Also this kit did not come with a transparent piece for the canopy, which is a bit sad, so I tried to make it look kinda "glassy" by applying several coats of paints, some gradients, metallic paints as well as a thick layer of gloss clear coat.

The base I made from scratch, since I found this old Sonic figurine base. Luckily it was even made out of PS.
