2016 Corvette Stingray

Engine in SMS Aluminium and weathered with Tamiya black panel liner. Exhaust manifold done in SMS Stainless Steel. 

Holes drilled into belt assembly with pin vice 0.8mm. 

 

Terrible result. This will need touching up. 

 

 

A bit better. Decals to come. Black is Mr Surfacer 1500 and tan is my own mix of Tamiya paints.  

Chassis done in Mr Surfacer 1500. Metal hand painted with Model Air Silver. Weathered with Tamiya Panel Liner. 

Front suspension painted in SMS Aluminium and weathered with Tamiya Panel Liner. 

 

Dashboard completed. 

 

Interior done.  

 

 

Interior glued to chassis and engine bay decals addded. 

 

Discs in SMS Cold Chrome and callipers in SMS Blue Angels Yellow (which will also be the colour of the body).  

 

Wheels dechromed and painted in SMS Jet Black. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Front grille done in SMS Jet Black and SMS Cold Chrome.  

Engine bay completed. Some additional wiring added for detail.  

Bonnet in SMS Blue Angels Yellow and bonnet liner in Mr Surfacer 1500. The yellow will need some additional polishing.  

Body in SMS Blue Angels Yellow. 

Decals on! 

Black trim added. 

 

 

These were not easy to mask. 

Lights painted in SMS Jet Black 

Was easier to throw a little Bare Metal Foil on the back of the lights than the try and paint the light cavities silver.  

Headlights painted in SMS Jet Black and detailed with SMS Chrome marker.
