First time ever with resin 

Mind the gap! 

After removing the locator pins for the original cockpit, there’s less to sand.  

That Proxxon burr is great! Neat fit in half an hour. No tailsitting allowed. Added 8mm steel ball to the nos 

Some PE on the dash 

PE in 1/72 is tiny

Surgery for the canopy frame to fit 

Mmm. Room to spare to the front or to the rear? 

Decided I'm going with an open canopy to show the aires pit. So I cut the one piece canopy in two. Feeling bold I also sanded off the frame that shouldn't be there.... 

After polishing it looks fine to me! 

PE detail on front wheel strut & canopy halves.  

Cockpit primed black.  

Inside of fuselage as well.  

Wings glued. Dry fit on the fuselage.  

Even unthinned, Ammo paint doesn't like to be brushed 

Added colour to the pit, seat and dash. 

Added PE tot the seat. 

It's a small world....

Wings glued & positioned  

Dry fit of the cut canopy. There's some tension that needs to be worked on. 

On the starboard side is a small dent in the canopy. Will drop a glob of CA on it and then sand. 

Primed with mr surfacer 1200 

 

The infamous orange masking returns! 

Prepped the exhaust. Doing those from my Vigilante at the same time. 

Painted with Alclad 

Like the result 

Bit too much contrast 

Adittional layer of aluminium blends things out 

 

The demasqué 

 

Added some yellow ochte with oils and some shine with a 8B pencil

After sanding and filling, paint it black

Painted wheel wells Zinc Chromate Green 

Painted inside of wheel well covers green as well 

Started pre shading today. Not enough time 

Rescribed the lower tank. Look at the top one for the why 

Als added some demarcation lines on the other thingies 

Painted the underside gunmetal grey 

Tan first.

She needs a black spot on the tip of her nose
