bughunterNice project! One question: Are the PE brass, Ni or steel? I ask, because until now I have all my stripdowns (see projects) soldered. But the Eduard stripdowns are made from brass and this here looks different.

Spanjaardi have seen in other forum that somebody assured it was stainless steel. there was a picture were it was completely scratched to show that it is not brass underneath. i remember also something about not being magnetic (to show that it was stainless steel, if i remember properly). sorry i do not have the link to that forum, sorry. i found it by accident.

Bart GoesaertJust did a quick test, and the material is magnetic. maybe just a very thick layer of Nikkel on top of it, or some low grade stainless steel (No 18/10, but a lower combination, it qualifies as "chinese" stainless steel, but it is magnetic, and not so corrosion resistant)

Bart GoesaertI intend to try to solder as much as possible... like the tip of the wing consists of 4 pieces soldered together just to obtain some form of rigidness... everything is positioned with small teeth, but these only serve as a positioning guide...
