Voir er Savoir 43 - Me262

I just realized... the box has the Me262 attacking a B-24J Liberator... which just happens to be the exact same pairing I'm currently working on. Total coincidence! 

Some nice details... a bit heavy perhaps, but still, not bad at all. 

A dry fit. I don't think my regular LEDs are going to fit in the outboard engine nacelles... hmm... 

Yeah... not a lot of room in there... some modifications will be necessary. 

With some VERY careful side drilling, I was able to feed the small SMD light wires from the nacelles into the soon-to-be-closed wheel wells. Look ma! No Wires! 

All the resistors will be packed inside the fuselage. 

We have light! 

I removed the ends of the engine to let the light shine out. I have a plan... 

All puttied up and nowhere to go... a surprising amount, considering what I expected from the fit before I started. 

Pilot comfy in the cockpit. 

I managed to scuff up the canopy a bit while I was masking it, but I think I was able to salvage it and get the first bit of paint on.  

I tried something new. First a coat of light grey, then I used a sponge to spray on a darker grey mottling. It kinda worked. 

Some detailing around the engine intakes... 

And that little yellow shield. 

Safety check on the engine... powered up and good to go! 

And we're done... except for a pilot tube and a radio antenna.
