Uwe, I'm curious what you did to the landing gear. It's not obvious from the pictures, but I'm guessing you chopped up the plank between the wheels and used the bits for the struts. Is that correct? Whatever youndid, it seems like it was the right choice, so I'm hoping to follow in your footsteps.

Greg - it only uses the wheels from the kit. The struts and axle are styrene rod and the ribbed gaiter things are short lengths of strut-profile styrene (I've got a supply of them in different sizes for things like WW! aircraft struts) with the trailing edge sanded a bit round and parallel grooves scribed around them to indicate ribs. Each end had a hole drilled to accept the short lengths of rod which ended up being the struts. Hope that helps.
