Fell off of it's skewer and landed on the warming lamp in the dryer. Ended up buying a second kit 🙁 

Citadel contrast paints are great for easy leather. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I always thought the copper/gold foil on Apollo landers was cool, so I wanted to find somewhere to use it on this project. Mmmmmm rolos! 

Since I had 2 kits, I figured I could experiment with making this display light up. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Thats a hidden battery pack with watchcells in it, held in place with a magnet so it can be easily removed. 

 

 

 

 

 

The canopy gold foil effect was a huge pain in the ass, but since I had 2 kits I was willing to try a ton of stuff. I must've stripped this back down half a dozen times till I found a technique I liked.
