Welcome Torsten. Nice to have you on board 👍

I kinda forgot to write some commentary.
X-1 Alpha was printed in one part. As you can see in the pictures a lot of stuff got damaged while I was trying to remove the supports.
It is a nice looking model with good detail, but some parts are quite thin and broke very easily, even though I scaled it up to 600%.

I will try to recreate the details and what I can't do I will probably declare battle damage.
Future COP LAPD was one of the most fun games I played in my childhood and I was very happy to find an stl of the X-1 Alpha.

In future LA of 2069 police has a hard time keeping crime at bay with criminal organizations armed as heavily as small armies, with tanks, hovercraft, VTOL as well as crazy superweapons awaiting you at the end of every mission.
To combat that the LAPD is fighting a war with the same brutal force. The player is a police officer piloting the X-1 Alpha, a heavily armed police mech that can transform in to a fast anti-gravity vehicle. X-1 Alpha gets send into the most dangerous situations to clean them up and if possible arrest the enemy leader and if not kill them.

ED-209 might have been a bit of inspiration for this mech. The game it originates from also has the background of excessive crime and violence where the police needs to resort to lethal violence on a kind of military level to even have a chance to surive in the streets. Another game like that was G-Police where you pilot a Police Gunship on Callisto, a colony on Jupiter's moon as part of the Government Police (G-Police).

Thanks for the background story, which was absolutely unknown to me. Am very curious how it continues with the model 🙂

Reprinted and scaled up to around 1:24 now. Files had some structural errors, "holes" at its legs, was not easy to clean up and still needs some more work.
Now more details survived removing the sprues. Only one headlight broke and I will just call battle damage...
Also big thanks to Knife-Edge for pointing out there were more files available, which made everything much easier. 👍

Police lights and detail painting done. Next step will be clear coats and the cockpit glass.

Alright, I call it done. It was a very fun project where I was able to try out some new things.
For example the Hasegawa Mirroir Finish Is used for the cockpit glass.

Well... let's just they there is room for improvement. The surface has a lot of curves and I was not able to get rid of all the wrinkles but it looks still very good from afar 😄

I decided to place the X-1 Alpha next to the damaged and abandoned Walk of Fame.

A very nice model but not very optimized for 3D printing. Some things are too thin and will break during cleanup.
