those weld lines are fantastic by the way.
....be sure to send some photos to the PANDA folks....with comments.....great stuff, this...
.....seriously....you see this all the time...a halftrack with V2 missile embedded.... and a gun on top....
.....its enough to bring a tear to the eye of Wernher von Braun.......
Haha Like your comments Lochsa, can't send pictures to Panda because they broke some time ago. (how surprising)
To all the other folks out here, thank you for your lovely comments I really appreciate them, also thanks for those comments from others still to come 🙂
Almost finished with his project, will post it next Sunday when everything has dried up. I do have some nice surprises in the end of this build.
If the two multiverses were to somehow merge and Europe 2059 were to meet the Mad Max's crew, I'd have to put my money on the Biscuit to win the ensuing gun fight &/or drag race, Mr Fleming.
Haha, well done! Was very fun to follow. Looks absolutely ridiculous. Love it.
Album info
It's 2059, 10 years after the last big war, somewhere in Europe a team is gathered to travel back in time to set things right.
A team of engineers worked 5 years on this project, an abandoned MRAP found at an army base in Germany combined with a WW2 V2 from a museum are ready for the job. Going back 20 years and change the future.
I had this horrible bad kit from Panda, nothing fits (DO NOT BUY THAT CRAP).
To put it on the shelve or throw it away is not for me.
So why not build another Post-Apocalyptic Diorama.
Found a double V2 in my stock, and got an idea.
I Build a gun from a leftover MENG kit and put it on the roof. I Put all the parts that at least fit a little to the MRAP. Some parts where such a bad fit, I threw them away, they pulverized in my hands.
The Panda kit is of such's bad quality even the tires will not fit over the rims. Can you imagine?
Once again, Do not buy a PANDA kit unless you like to be pissed all day. It's so sad because the details are great it had a great potential but I bet they even did a build themselves before they put it on the market.
Went through my box of spare parts, and kept on gluing.
Used the Mr.Mahogany primer and covered everything but the V2, like to keep the original colors.
Several finishing colours went through my hands but it will be Tamiya Sea Blue XF-17
The weathering is done with water thinned acrylic paint, I saw Thomas from Laser Creation World do this many times, and I just like to try that out. I love the result.
Water is made with UV Resin.
