1:72 MAZ-537G: Stalker´s Paradise (Fictional)
Hozzászólások
Cheers mates! Nice to have you there!
I don't know if I can do it the way I want it to.
So I won't reveal too much just yet...😅
Hi guys!
Maybe you can help me!
I am undecided:
leave the shelter in military green or civilian yellow with the red stripes?!
I'll take a seat!
I think it depends on what you want to do... 😉 In my opinion the civilian one would fit very well.
Welcome mates!
Thank you for your opinion friends🙂
I also tended very strongly to the civilian version, but I was not sure if it fits with the red cabin.
But you convinced me, I will try it!
So let's start the next step;)
Thx Villiers!
But i don't used much modulation technics because of the chipping and the planned weathering not much will remain of it.
So i only make some stronger highlights, also to represent something a confessed color.
Thanks Mirko🙂
In this project I don't just want to make a small base to present it, but it should be part of a diorama.
I'm still planning the final design.
A Tschernobyl-like scenery would fit very well. Give it back some peace!
That's some phenomenal detailing and shading your achieving with this build 👍
@James: thanks mate!
@Mirko: That's pretty much the idea.
I ordered feral animals and mutants from a friend who he created for me in 3D printing.
I got some inspiration for this project from the pc game Stalker🙂
I think I missed this result, you will eventually be the 1/72 vehicle master.
Thanks Marius and Mona!
@Chan: I think we've talked about this somewhere before regarding your comment 😉
Nevertheless, thank you for your encouragement and thanks for stopping by!
Ah. Ready! Fantastic result - as expected. 🙂
During the build I did not like the color combination of truck and shelter that much, but now, with the dry gras and the dio, it all adds up into a very harmonious ensemble.
Holy X, this is standard masterpiece. I used to focus on truck but everything is perfect, the troopers the flowers the dove!
Again and they are 1/72😅…
Thanks for all your likes and all your encouraging comments my friends!
@Michael: I know what you mean, I've also thought about it long and a lot.
do you know the kit from ICM?- the truck with the yellow shelter?
I've liked this combination for a long time and therefore thought it could be an interesting combi.
With this I also wanted to bring some "color" into my collection 😁
Wow, an absolute stunning piece! Really captures the "post-apocalyptic" vibe 👍
I may never know it's 1/72 , if you didn't tag it. Great scene of apocalypse. 👍
Thx Tom, Harvey, James and Finn!
Studied images from the exclusion zone around Chernobyl for this.
I hope to have reproduced it somehow.
Hi Simon. Only just caught up with the final reveal of this interesting art... STUNNING! 👏👏
Nice that you had time to take a look at it Neil 😉
Thanks for commenting!
Great work Simon, I have been reviewing all your work and are as good as it gets. Dioramas, armour, figures. And in a lot of different scales. You are an artist. Congratulations!!
Thans Rui for your comment!
Micky: thank you for looking at my galleries and giving so many likes!
And be sure, I'm really proud of your praise 😁
That is so good in every aspect. The build, the scene, the delightful details, the weathering and the figures are all superbly done.
Thanks so much for your encouraging words my friends!
Thanks Peter, Pietro and James!
And also thank you for all the likes 😁
I totally agree with James. not only spectacular, but impressive details in relation to the small 1/y2 scale!
Oh Rusty, It really does look like an area that has been exposed to radiation for a long time.
Pic #24 —I love how they painted a dull red over the 4BO and it bleached to a pink and it chipped too. Also love the late decline of the USSR theme of the diorama. It's what-if but without being far fetched.
Thanks for your comments and likes mates!
@Hans: The chipping was quite a lot of work and takes some time but it was also a bit of fun to do 😉
I was inspired a bit by the PC game STALKER, which is set in the exclusion zone around Chernobyl.
I tried as best I could to get a certain "feeling" into this little scene😉
I keep expecting to see a bloodsucker or a snork hiding somewhere. Fantastic work!
Thank you nikfrost!!
😁
It was planned to put a mutant behind the wall as a little gimmick, but unfortunately I didn't find anything suitable that could be used- a rat had to suffice 😉
Well deserved. I enjoy your work and it it inspires me to pursue this great hobby.
Album info
Short explanation on the topic:
This dio shows a fictional scenario in which a group of stalkers roam an abandoned restricted area.
Maybe they are looking for treasure...
The MAZ with the built-up shelter represents their "caravan" which is used for locomotion and accommodation.
This project had several reasons why I did it:
1. I really like the MAZ - a big ancient-looking monster!
That's why it was time to paint one.
2. I had the shelter left and no idea what to do with it in future.
Therefore: why not to try it in this way.
The same with the base, this one has been standing around half painted for almost two years.
Also no idea what I need it for.
Therefore, I brought these points together, packed the whole thing into a somewhat fictitious scenario and am quite happy with it!
And also a good example of residual recycling, the barrier has also been in my inventory for a long time and the electric pole was also built once without ever using it.
The base was done very quickly, ust reworked the surface with some textured paste and add more details.
The project was also inspired by the pc game and the novel series STALKER, which I still know from my youth- and also by some works on this platform.
For this project I combined the Takom kit (5003) and the shelter from Balaton Modell (BM7246), the base is from White Stork Miniatures (D005) and the figurines are from Italeri of their NATO and Warsaw Pact sets.
