This is the kit my kids bought for me for Christmas.
There have been no real fit issues so far but for one. It is clear they intended for this model to be built with the nose cone open. They provided a very nicely done radar dish assembly. But I have never modeled a plane with that open. Just not my thing. The fit with the nose closed? Horrid. Lots of sanding and putty. I think I got it in line. Another shot of primer will tell the story when I get to it.
Otherwise, awesome kit! The fit has been wonderful elsewhere. The fuselage seams will require some minor sanding and possibly some Mr Surfacer 500 here and there. Dry fit of the nose to the fuselage shows me no major issues there. I am really enjoying this big girl.

Aside from a few little things, this one is done.
Take note of the instructions for the decals. Awful! Revel dropped the ball here. There should be an exploded view of the stripe decals alone. Then a separate one of the stencils and other decals. I could not tell where one decal started and the other stopped on the directions. Had I approached it in a more organized fashion it would have been better. So bad on me there.
Revell came up with a good method to allow the pylons to swivel when you swing the wings. I promptly managed to break one off. I ended up using magnets to mount them. I can now remove them any time I like.

And one final hurrah for this girl. First time I have ever entered anything at a large regional IPMS show. I took several models, and two of them placed third. This was one of them. 🙂
