Some structural additions so that the engine nozzle and the shock cone could be added lastly.

Wing fences selfmade to get them thinner. 

Some extra parts added to the underside that were missing in the kit

Little side pitot-tube is now made of brass and could be added after painting. 

MiG is now primed white with Tamiya fine surface primer spray. 

The lynx of Fighter Squadron 31 is airbrushed with two selfmade masks. The reason is the very narrow gap between the jaw and the leg.

Masks off 

While painting red i noticed that the gab between the wing and the fuselage was pretty visible. Luckily it was easy and fast fix with white plastic putty.  

Main colors done so I dared to take cloud masks off 😄 

 

The few decals applied. Starting from 1988 the Finnish Air Force transitioned to low-visibility insignias, so that's why the markings are so small. Also this would have been meant to be only for the last flight in 1998 so no need to paint stencils visible except the ones for the ejection seat.

Bad focus on the image. I have a plan for the AoA probe. 

Disaster! I tried to drill the landing gear strut hole bigger so I accidentally drilled through...

Standing on its own wheels for checking the probes are well enough aligned.
