I used paint from the rattle can for the first few coats, but screwed things up and got runs and bubbles. After sanding the body, I resprayed with decanted spray paint using my new mini spray gun. It was much easier and came out looking much better.
This model will be my Christmas gift for my dad. He owned an MG TF back in the early 60s and loves the look of the car. His was off-white with a red interior, but he always wanted one in British Racing Green, so I'm fulfilling his wish (after a fashion).
The Finecast kit nearly got the better of me--it took me ten months to build it. This was my first white metal kit, and I learned a lot in building it.
