Tie Striker
1
January 25, 2025Not sure what happened to the first Album I made so lets try again.... Started with the cockpit, painted with Mig Black-Grey, Gloss Coated then decaled and finished off with a Blue-Black wash then a Matt Varnish.2
January 25, 2025Inside of the front of the cockpit.3
January 25, 2025The outside of the front. Painted Mig Grey Shine with Starship Streaking 'wash'4
January 25, 2025Masked off the wings for my favourite Tie wing paint mix of Gloss Black Primer with Metallic Artic Blue - it makes them shimmer in the right light.5
January 25, 2025Wings primed and Glossed with Pledge6
January 25, 2025Fuselage assembled and Primed with Mig One-Shot Grey.7
January 25, 2025Attempted a pre-shade using the Mig paints but it spidered really badly so switched to Vallejo. Painted over the mess I'd made before with Pale Blue Grey and pre-shaded again with Panzer Dark Grey.8
January 26, 2025Pale Blue Grey base coat added - I thinned it down and sprayed on in really thin layers until the pre-shade was looking as I wanted it but I think I may have done one too many coats 😄9
January 26, 2025Assembled the wings with the painted solar collector panels.10
January 26, 2025Masked those off11
January 26, 2025And primed the frame with One-Shot Grey.12
February 2, 2025And base coated with Pale Blue Grey then glossed.13
February 2, 2025Got on with the fusealge and popped off the front window and sprayed that Panzer Dark Grey and hand painted the "clasps" the same colour. Glossed the whole thing then added the decals (all three of them!!) and did a pin wash with Mig Starship Wash then a satin coat to seal. Here's a view from the front.14
February 2, 2025And a view from the side.15
February 2, 2025And the other side and rear. Someone mentioned on another album about enamel wash "eating" the Bandai plastic - I had that issue on the "leaf spring" on the back. It snapped where it was plugged in so I just glued it back.16
February 6, 2025Wings had a wash then a matt coat and the masking was removed so that's the wings complete.17
February 6, 2025Some filters on select panels and lighting some of the raised bits using a White Oilbrusher.18
February 6, 2025View from the other side.19
February 6, 2025Final matt coat and the masking was removed so that's the fuselage all done.20
