Hummer H1- WIP

Washed. 

It took more than three days to separate and trim the parts from the runner. 

Before doing full-scale painting, I applied primer to the etched parts. 

I usually paint the body first, but this car had such a large body that I started by painting other parts first.
(Gloss Black, Grayish White, Beige, Flat Aluminium, Metal Black) 

Next, I painted light gray parts.
And since the gloss of the black I painted before wasn't enough, I added one more layer of clear(gloss)t. 

Now I gathered the parts to be painted black and painted them all at once. 

After painting the outer surface of the body shell with white surfacer... 

I painted Deep Yellow. 

The surface area of ​​the vehicle's exterior was so large that painting it in a single color would have been monotonous, so I masked it and painted it German Gray. 

Last time I made a Ford GT, the masking lines were messy, so I threw away all the masking tape I had and bought all new ones. This time, I used new masking tape and was able to get clean line.
I found a large dust later, but I was exhausted from trimming the parts, so I decided to ignore it. 

Since all the embossed letters on the exterior were removed, custom decals were placed in places where the Hummer logo was not supposed to be placed. 

Painted pannel-line 

I painted with paint brush. But I'm not too happy with the result.
Instead of doing useless splitting, I think these parts should have been split... 

Anyway, now I've given the whole thing a matte coating. 

Next, I painted the reflectors with silver using a brush and coat them with clear color. 

The transparent parts were simply masked, painted with clear color, and then covered with silver. 

Result. 

All ready. Now let's assemble it. 

The parts that fit together are perfect, but the ones that don't fit are so mismatched that they break like this. The steering part broke, so I had to fix it by putting in a pin. 

When assembling, you have to be careful about the orientation of the parts. 

An engine that looks simple despite its large number of parts. 

The underbody of the car is complete.
