Firebee progress

 

 

 

Working on my masking. Guess what, it was bad! Gotta make sure I'm pressing the edges of the mask down Hard. Anyway, the whole thing is gunna get spray painted now instead of hand painted.  

 

Note how the wingtip pods are masked so that it will be split half and half white and red. For reasons beyond my understanding, I was absolutely convinced I had seen pictures of the paint split like that, but now that I've sat down to post these, the pods are all white. Well, guess therell be another coat for the pods later.  

 

Beautiful etching practice on my OHP waterline base that's been repurposed into a paint tester. 

Thank God the camera focused on my jeans, which are of course the main focus of this album

I'm gunna step back from this for a while. This second firebee just isn't coming out the way I wanted it. Somehow I feel like the paint quality is worse than the first one
