Ferrari 308 GTB converted to GTS
Kommentit
My brother in-law has a 308 GTSi.
It goes pretty fast, don't know exactly how fast because I was watching where I was going and he was too scared to look at the speedo
i like "nonred" Ferraris - well done! good idea and well made conversion. Where is the mirror gone?
@wilky that's brilliant haha, Yeah with the top off I'm sure it feels even faster.
@Dominik, thanks a lot, mirror... Wilky must have knocked it off while he was going so fast. Kit was missing it.
Every Ferrari 308 / 328 looks good. The most Ferrari I don't want to have red (as a model kit). I myke some exceptions: 308 / 328 / 288 GTO. I like your blue a lot. Looks kinda strange with this red interior. On my todo-list is the 328 in a slightly lighter blue with tan or light greyish interior. I saw one for sale and this is one kit, I have t put in the shelf.
The only thing that tells you it was a coupe: the slits in the rear side windows. They are completely closed on the Targa. Anyway: I like it.
Thanks Christian, yeah its a really classic hey, I saw a pic of one with the red interior and it was quite striking so I went with it.
Album info
An old Revell Ferrari kit, which was pretty decent. I enjoyed this build but made some mistakes on it as usual.
The roof was cut off to make the GTB into the convertible GTS.
Instead of the usual Ferrari Red, I chose to. go with a really nice blue I liked, I got an automotive paint company to mix it for me - It is called Alfa Romeo Blue Chiaro.
I was nervous about airbrushing it onto the body because I normally use the Rattle cans. But it sprayed on very well. I clear coated and polished it up and then when glueing in the wheels touched the door with superglue.
Had to sand back and respray the area, a slight difference is noticeable but only if you know where to look.
For the interior I tried to go nice and different with a red and think the 2 colours look nice together. I hope you enjoy.
