Vacu is tricky...but it's looking good. tried one of these MiniArt ruins, ended up using them as mould for plaster😉
That blue stuff on the front is some of your extras or just paint?

Thanks Fabian..yeah, they can look nice when finished, but way too much work, I wish it was just regular styrene - it's not like they are cheap! The kit was $25 plus a tube of putty and time consuming. The blue is just Tamiya field blue, as a test. I wanted something more civilian so I mixed some old Testors white and sea blue for a lighter mix. (see attached pics)

I should mention the styrene parts inside are "old ICM" style if you know what I mean - very large sprue attachments, sink holes, flash, knock out marks, etc. You do get a few extra building accessories, presumably the same sprue goes in multiple kits. The figures are nice but not my cup of tea - Russian naval troops. (which are incidentally marked as discontinued in their figure line). Any seam lines and such will be disguised with additional rubble, furniture, floorboards, etc.

Yeah, MiniArt's moulding skills have thankfully improved. I have one or two of these generic sprees as well. But I still like the messing around with such spures more than all the vacuum thing...

90% there....some refining on paint, a couple of small details to add...and then look for a small vehicle to be trawling around the street...😢

Album info

So the Miniart "Sevastapol 1941" building is underway. It is together, sanded and the paint process has begun. I think I am going to "cheat" this as a French hotel. I added a few extra details like a push button light switch (not uncommon for a higher end hotel), a second floor element, floorboards, an entrance light and a few extras like furniture, signs, etc. I also added some compressed styrofoam rubble on the building and street for a more dynamic look. The base is just big enough for a small tank or AFV.
